Raising a Reader

Eirinn has an insatiable thirst for reading.  This is one habit I hope she takes with her into adulthood.  I’m an avid reader, so I am absolutely overjoyed to see her plough through 20 books in a night and be frustrated that there aren’t any more.  Sometimes she’ll pick a favourite and sit on our lap for us to read to her, and sometimes she’ll make a stack and silently peruse on her own.  She even turns other objects that look like they could be a book into a book, like cd’s or flyers or junk mail or colouring books.  I love this stage where, to her, everything is just so darn interesting.
