I do that crying thing too!! I didn't cry at my dad's funeral and people thought it was kind of weird. It's just that I don't cry when I'm happy or sad. I only bawl my eyes out when I'm angry. I must admit, as a lawyer I've had to differentiate between "angry" and just disagreeing on a point -- otherwise that whole court thing would be a little uncomfortable for everyone else!! Oh, my god. People always misinterpret it and think I'm sad and try to "cheer me up". Often it's the person I'm mad at who tries to do this, which makes me more mad and makes me cry more. Gah. And I, too, only ever drink ginger ale if I'm sick. If I drink it when I'm well it makes me feel sick. Oh, it's so comforting when people have similar quirks. Makes me feel a little less weird.
